While I was Colorado, I stayed at a YWAM base in Cimarron. I went there for a four-week school to get certified to Teach English as a Second or Foreign language. During these four weeks I had long hours of learning many different components involved in being an English teacher from grammar to building my syllabus to developing my teaching philosophy. At the end of this grueling, hard work, and long hours the end result was worth it all because not only I, but my whole class, graduated with our TESOL certificates. When it was time to go, even though I had only been at the base for four weeks there were many tough goodbyes: all my classmates, my roommates, everyone on base that I had grown so close too, I even had grown close to two families that I will forever hold dear to my heart…. I even met another TATUM!!! Now how often does that happen; well for me it never has happened haha. Two Tatums and an Easton The Brubaker Family… the family that gave me brothers for a month! Two amazing and encouraging roommates! My classroom filled with all my classmates during my co-teaching My Time with God during TESOL Before leaving Osaka, Japan in January of last year a guy we had been so fortunate to partner with in his ministry had prayer for everyone on my outreach team. As we had him over for dinner he wanted to tell us what God had been telling him about us during our month stay. As he ended up on me he said quite a few things but one this in particular he said ‘God gave me this picture of you in the snow dancing with the biggest smile on your face just beyond happy, so in awe and in love with God’ when he told me this in my head I was thinking you are crazy there’s no way this California girl will be happy in the snow hah. 9 months later, I was in Colorado, with this picture of me dancing in the snow completely out of my head. All weekend I had been praying away the snow, but it started to snow like I’ve never seen before. When class went on break I stood outside, danced, and was so happily and in awe I could have cried! And in that moment God reminded of what this man on outreach told me and I could not believe God already knew I would be in Colorado, and God already had this planned out for me. Oh, how our God will always know how to surprise me and keep me on my toes! Me as I'm so in awe and in love with God Opportunities that came out of Colorado
